Jon Barney, a senior at Veritas Prep, secured the Division 4 boys 3,200-meter title in 9:31.54 at the Arizona Interscholastic Association State Championships at Mesa Community College. Barney, who also captured the Division 4 state cross country crown in November, improved from a fourth-place finish in the 3,200 last season.
